PLANT THIEF

5 August 2008

Last weekend (Saturday 2nd August 10.30pm) a thief took Palms from a property in our area and was observed going onto a neighbours property but didnt see the Palms being taken.

If you have any Palms or expensive plants in your garden we suggest that you have some sensor lights to cover the area where they are and also carry out checks that they work.

If you see anybody (and they dont live there) on your neighbours property call police immediately.

The neighbour did provide the following details regarding this individual:

- Vehicle was a black or dark coloured hatchback

- Male Caucasian

- Tall and slim with glasses, and a slight stoop

- Wearing jeans and boots, and a full brim (akubra) type hat

Please be observant and if you see any person on private property who are taking a suspicious interest in gardens plants - particularly palms call police immediately
